A Review of Fiction,
Poetry,
and Creative Nonfiction
River
Oak Review, founded by Etta L.
Worthington, has featured compelling, accessible work by both
established and emerging writers. In past issues, we have published
writers such as
Billy Collins, Kathleen Norris, Virgil Suarez, Jim
Elledge, Eric Pankey, Philip Dacey, Maureen Seaton, Gaylord Brewer,
Carol Hamilton, B. Z. Niditch, Wendy Bishop, Robin Becker, Fredrick
Zydek, and others. River Oak Review and
the writers it has published have won numerous awards since its
founding. In December 2003, the Review's parent
organization, River Oak Arts, ceased operations, and the Review
moved to its new home
at Elmhurst College.
River Oak Review is partially
supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency,
and from the Coleman
Foundation grant at Elmhurst College.
